Upon learning that his wife was given only three days to live, her husband leaned toward her and whispered with a satisfied smile, “Finally, all your property will be mine.” But he had no idea what rev:enge plan his “submissive” wife had in store for him. đąđ±
When Leah opened her eyes, she immediately felt dizzy. She felt nothing but pain.
Somewhere in the hallway, voices were heard. Leah recognized the muffled voice of the head doctor:
“The condition is critical… Liver failure is progressing… Three days maximum.”
Even through the blank wall, she recognized the second voice. It was her husband’sâOliver’s.
Leah closed her eyes, leaving a small crack to observe. The door opened.
Oliver entered, holding a bouquet of flowers, sat on the edge of the bed, and took Leah’s hand.
Her husband stroked her wrist and leaned closer. He was sure that she was heavily sedated and couldn’t hear a thing.
And then he whispered:
“Finally. I’ve waited so long for this. Your house, your bills, your business… It will all finally be mine.”
He smiledâsoftly, almost tenderly. Leah understood: her husband had always only wanted money from her.
Oliver stood up, put on a mask of sympathy, and, already in the hallway, said to the nurse:
“Please keep an eye on her. I’m so worried… She’s my whole life.”
His falseness nearly made her sick. The door closed.
Leah opened her eyes fully. Her heart was pounding.
Suddenly, she heard the splashing of water and quiet footsteps in the hallway. They were washing the floors. Leah gathered her strength and shouted:
“Girl… come here.”
The door opened slightly. A young nurse peered into the roomâslim, frightened, but attentive. Her name tag read “Maria.”
“Yes? Are you feeling unwell?” she asked, already preparing to run for the doctor.
“No,” Leah whispered. “I need to ask you something.”
Maria came closer. Leah grabbed her hand as tightly as her weakness allowed.
“Listen carefully. If you do everything I say… you will never work as a nurse again. Never.”
Maria froze. Her eyes widened.
“What should I…?”
Leah spoke quietly but confidently. đąđ± Continued in the first comment đđ
Leah dictated the safe address, the code, the list of documents, the name of the lawyer, and instructions on who to call and which records to retrieve from the clinic’s surveillance archive.
Maria listened without interrupting. And when Leah finished, the girl merely nodded:
“I’ll do everything. I promise.”
Maria got to work immediately. By morning, everything was ready.
All the documents for the real estate, businesses, investment portfolios, and safes were transferred to the charitable foundation.
A small percentage of the foundation was registered in Maria’s nameâlarge enough to make her forget what hard physical labor was.
When Oliver returned to the clinic, he was in the mood for a show. He entered the room, sat down next to her, and took Leah’s hand.
“How are you?” he whispered brokenly.
Leah looked at him as if all her strength had drained from her. Her voice was weak but clear:
“Oliver… I signed… the documents.”
He froze.
“What… documents, dear?”
She coughed quietly, as if trying to gather her thoughts.
“I transferred all my property to the charitable foundation.” You won’t get anything.
Oliver’s face twisted.
âWhat did you do?! You… you couldn’t!
âYou thought I was blind?…
He snapped:
âGive it all back! Do you hear me?! Give it back! It’s all mine, and you die.
âYou always wanted me de:a:d, Oliver. But it seems you’ve lost everything now.
