The road seemed strange in the pouring rain as the boy hurried to the university with his backpack on his back.
That day, he was about to decide something important in his life—his final exam, his last chance to stay at the university, his last chance to prove that all his years of work hadn’t been in vain.
He’d repeated everything, spent sleepless nights preparing for this day, and now he had to pass the crucial exam to stay at the university.
He left the house and headed toward the university.
But just a few streets before campus, he noticed something that instantly made him stop. 😓😓
A man in a suit, his hair wet, lay unconscious on the side of the road in the rain. His bicycle lay next to him, knocked over on the ground, and his arms moved weakly, as if he were trying to find the strength but couldn’t.
The boy froze for a moment. Two voices echoed inside him:
“If you stop now, will you make the exam in time…”
“And if you don’t stop, this man might not have a chance to save himself…”
Looking at his watch, he came to his senses for a moment and realized that every second was precious—both for helping the man and for getting to university in time.
But at that moment, the boy made an unusual and strange decision, and what he did sh0cked everyone who heard the story.
Walking to university, the boy noticed a man—unconscious, soaked in the rain, with a bicycle lying nearby, like a discarded piece of play dough. Looking at his watch, a voice flashed through his head:
“If you stop now, you might be late and miss the final exam…”
“But if you don’t help, this man’s life depends only on you…”
Convinced that life was more important than a diploma and an exam, the boy instantly made the decision to stop. He felt he had to act now, because one moment could save an entire life.
Approaching the man, he carefully checked his pulse, read the signs of a heartbeat, and immediately called an ambulance. At the same time, he recalled his first aid lessons—how to keep a person alive until paramedics arrived.
Gradually, the man began to breathe and opened his eyes. The boy realized that his decision to stop and not pass by had changed not only the stranger’s life, but his own as well.
He realized that the true value of existence was not notebooks and exam results, but life itself.
When the ambulance arrived, the man weakly squeezed the boy’s hand and whispered, “Thank you… you saved me.” The boy merely looked at the rain, realizing that the decision had been made instantly, recognizing the value of life and responsibility.
Later, he arrived at the university late, and although he could have been turned away, everyone watched from the window as he helped the man. Considering his courage, he was allowed to take the exam he had spent so much time preparing for.
He passed it successfully and received a passing grade, after which he found work in the specialty he had dreamed of.
Thus, the boy made a decision that at first did not harm him, and then saved the man’s life, forever changing his destiny and providing him with everything he needed for the future.
