At my brother’s fitting, he laughed and told his groomsmen I lived off our parents because I couldn’t hold a job. I said nothing and kept my sleeves down. Then his best man, a Ranger, spotted the scar on my wrist. He went pale, made one silent phone call, and twenty minutes later, someone walked through the door.

Remove these items from your home before April 1st

With the arrival of April and the period close to Easter, many spiritual traditions agree on one thing: it is a time for deep energetic cleansing. It’s not just about tidying up your home, but about releasing what—without you even noticing—may be affecting your emotional balance, your rest, and even your spiritual path.

There are objects that seem harmless… but according to various spiritual beliefs, they can carry memories, heavy emotions, or stagnant energy.

If you feel like something isn’t flowing in your life, this may be the key moment to take action.

Why it’s important to cleanse your home before Easter

Easter, beyond its religious meaning, represents rebirth, the closing of cycles, and inner renewal. In many spiritual traditions, it is believed that physical spaces accumulate vibrations that directly influence those who live there.

A heavy environment can manifest as:

    Unexplained fatigue
    Constant bad mood
    Repetitive problems
A feeling of heaviness in the home

That’s why, before starting a new cycle, it’s essential to let go of what no longer belongs.

    1. Broken or damaged objects

Any broken object symbolizes something incomplete or blocked.

    Cracked dishes
    Non-functioning appliances
    Damaged furniture

These items not only take up space, but also represent stagnant energy. Keeping them at home can reinforce a sense of being stuck in different areas of your life.

If you don’t use it and won’t repair it, it’s time to let it go.

    2. Gifts from people you ended things badly with

    Objects also hold emotional memory.

If you keep things given by someone with whom you had conflicts, arguments, or a difficult breakup, that object may continue acting as a constant energetic reminder.

It’s not the object itself… it’s what it represents.

Ask yourself: does this bring me peace or discomfort?

    3. Mirrors in poor condition or poorly placed

In many spiritual traditions, mirrors are considered energetic portals.

A broken or damaged mirror can:

Distort the energy of the space
    Create a sense of unease
    Disrupt rest

It’s also recommended to avoid placing mirrors facing the bed, as they may disturb sleep according to energetic beliefs.

    4. Old objects with accumulated energy (not energetically cleansed)

Not everything old is negative… but it can carry energy.

    Inherited items
    Antique purchases
    Objects brought from unknown places

If they haven’t been energetically cleansed, they may carry vibrations that don’t belong in your home.

Cleansing with intention, natural light, or incense can be key.

    5. Unnecessary accumulation (things you keep “just in case”)

Excess objects block the flow of energy.

Keeping things without purpose sends an unconscious message:
“There is no space for the new.”

    This can show up as:

    Lack of opportunities
    Financial stagnation
    A sense of chaos

If you haven’t used it in the past year, you probably don’t need it.

    6. Images or figures that cause discomfort

This is more common than it seems.

    Dark paintings
Figures that evoke fear or unease
    Images with negative emotional weight

Your intuition is key: if something doesn’t bring you peace, it shouldn’t be in your space.

    What to do after cleaning

Once you remove these objects, it’s important to harmonize your space:

    Open doors and windows
    Let natural light in
Light a white candle with intention
Say a prayer or hold a positive thought

This process is not only physical… it is deeply internal.

The real change begins within you

Removing objects isn’t magic… but it is a powerful symbolic act.

Each thing you release makes space for something new.
Each conscious decision raises your energy.

Before April 1st, take a moment to look at your home with new eyes…
Because sometimes, what seems insignificant… is what weighs the most.
