That afternoon, I decided to flip the mattress and wash the sheets. Everything seemed normal until I noticed a cluster of tiny black grains tucked into the corner of the bed.<\/p>\n

They were dull yet slightly shiny, like miniature pieces of coal.<\/p>\n

My stomach dropped. My first thought: insect eggs. Maybe roaches? Beetles? My skin frozed just thinking about it.<\/p>\n

I grabbed a piece of paper and carefully scooped a few of them up to inspect.<\/p>\n

They were hard, dry, and definitely not alive. But then where had they come from?<\/strong><\/h2>\n
