I never imagined I would sit in a doctor\u2019s waiting room wondering whether my next reaction would be laughter or tears. Yet there I was, staring at a beige wall, replaying the last few uncomfortable weeks in my head.<\/p>\n

It started quietly, in a way that was almost easy to ignore. My husband began to smell\u2026 off. Not like sweat after a long day, and not like someone who skipped a shower. It was stronger than that. Persistent. Almost impossible to mask.<\/p>\n

I did everything I could think of. I changed the bed sheets more often. Bought new soap. Switched laundry detergent. Washed his clothes twice. I even blamed stress and told myself it would pass. I didn\u2019t want to embarrass him, and honestly, I didn\u2019t even know how to bring it up.<\/p>\n

But weeks went by, and nothing improved.<\/p>\n

One evening, I finally said what I\u2019d been avoiding.
\n\u201cThis isn\u2019t normal,\u201d I told him carefully. \u201cWe need to see a doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n

He looked uncomfortable, but he agreed. I scheduled an appointment with a urologist and went with him for support. The clinic smelled faintly of disinfectant, and the quiet hum of fluorescent lights made everything feel more serious than I expected.<\/p>\n

He went into the exam room alone. The door closed.<\/p>\n

Five minutes passed.<\/p>\n

Then the door opened again.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The doctor stepped out, his face red, his lips pressed tightly together as if he were trying very hard not to laugh. He cleared his throat, looked at me, and said, \u201cYou might want to come in here.\u201d<\/p>\n

My heart sank. A thousand worst-case scenarios rushed through my mind.

He took a deep breath.
\n\u201cI\u2019ve been using your shower sponge.\u201d<\/p>\n

I stared at him, confused.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe one for your face,\u201d he added quietly. \u201cEvery day. For months.\u201d<\/p>\n

There was a brief moment of silence.<\/p>\n

Then the doctor completely lost it.<\/p>\n

Still chuckling, he explained that the sponge had accumulated bacteria over time. Using it on sensitive areas had caused the odor\u2014no illness, no infection, just an unfortunate hygiene mistake.<\/p>\n
