My twin sister chose to stay behind, knowing our mother\u2019s health was already failing. She tried to tell me that caring for Mom mattered just as much as chasing ambitions, but I brushed her off with quiet arrogance. I told her I was \u201cbecoming someone,\u201d as if staying somehow made her less.<\/p>\n

While she spent her days juggling work, doctor visits, and long, quiet nights at home, I was building a new life in another city\u2014making friends, collecting accomplishments, and convincing myself that responsibility could wait until everything else in my life was perfect. Two years went by, and I only came back when Mom\u2019s condition took a turn for the worse.<\/p>\n

But I was too late.<\/strong><\/h1>\n
