The King, accompanied by Queen Camilla, is currently on a four-day visit to the United States to mark 250 years of American independence from Britain.<\/p>\n

Aside from a minor moment that some viewed as a break from royal protocol, the visit has unfolded smoothly so far, with both leaders appearing relaxed and in good spirits throughout the events.<\/p>\n

Speaking outside the White House on Tuesday (April 28), Trump reflected on his personal ties to the UK, mentioning his Scottish-born mother, Mary Anne MacLeod.<\/p>\n

He shared how she moved to America at 19, met his father Fred Trump, and that the two were married for 63 years.<\/strong><\/h1>\n

At that point, Trump turned toward Melania, who was seated behind him dressed in white, and joked:
\n\u201cExcuse me, but that\u2019s a record we won\u2019t be able to match, darling.\u201d<\/p>\n

He added with a smile that while they have a strong marriage, reaching that milestone would likely not be possible.<\/p>\n

Trump and Melania have been married for 21 years and share a son, Barron. Given Trump\u2019s age, now 79, his comment reflected a realistic acknowledgment that matching his parents\u2019 long marriage would be unlikely.<\/p>\n

In the same speech, Trump also spoke warmly about his mother\u2019s admiration for British royalty, especially the late Queen Elizabeth II.<\/strong><\/h1>\n
