At my son’s birthday party, my sister suddenly stood up and announced, “Since everyone’s already here, why don’t we sing for Lily too? Her birthday is only two weeks away!” Then she brought out a cake for her daughter while my son quietly lowered his eyes to the floor. I didn’t say a single word.

The White House addresses rumours that Donald Trump has been hospitalised

The White House has addressed speculation claiming that Donald Trump had been hospitalized.

Over the weekend, rumors began circulating that the 79-year-old president was receiving medical care, with some suggesting he had been admitted to Walter Reed Medical Center in Bethesda.

In response, White House communications director Steven Cheung dismissed the claims in a post on X, stating that Trump had been actively working throughout the Easter weekend.

“There has never been a President who has worked harder for the American people than President Trump,” Cheung wrote, adding that he had been continuously working from the White House and Oval Office.

The administration also pushed back more directly through its Rapid Response 47 account, criticizing the rumors and emphasizing that the president remained on duty.

To reinforce this, they pointed to a report noting that a Marine sentry was stationed at the West Wing entrance—an indication that the president was present and working inside.

Officials suggested that the speculation stemmed from unverified social media posts, including claims about temporary road and airspace restrictions near the medical center. However, no official confirmation supported those reports.

Throughout the day, Trump also remained active on his Truth Social platform, sharing multiple posts on political topics, further countering the idea that he was hospitalized.

In short, despite widespread online speculation, there was no verified evidence that the president had been admitted to the hospital, and the White House maintained that he continued his regular duties.
