A Young Woman Kept A Huge Python At Home: One Day The Snake Began To Act Strangely, Stopped Eating And Wrapped Itself Around Its Owner’s Waist: Then The Woman Discovered Something Unexpected About It

A Young Woman and Her Unusual Pet

A young woman kept a huge python at home. One day the snake began to act strangely, refused food, and coiled itself around her waist. Then she discovered something terrifying about it. 😱😱

    Safran, the Golden Python

The young woman named her python Safran, because of the golden spots scattered across its scales. She had welcomed the snake into her home three years earlier, and it quickly became “domesticated.” Her relatives warned her again and again:
    “Be careful, it’s a predator.”
But she only smiled and said, “She’s tame. She loves me and would never hurt me.”

    Signs That Something Wasn’t Right

As time passed, Safran’s behavior began to change in ways that were easy to overlook at first. She stopped eating. At night, she would slide out of her terrarium and stretch out right alongside her owner’s body—her head near the woman’s shoulder, her tail reaching her ankles. Sometimes she wrapped loosely around her waist and stayed still, as if she were counting the ribs one by one.

During the day, she would rest on the cool floor next to the bed, exactly where the woman often walked barefoot. She could lie there for hours, moving only the very tip of her tail, her eyes fixed on the rise and fall of her owner’s chest.

    The Strange “Hugs”

Then came the muted “hugs.” Safran would glide upward toward the woman’s throat and pause under her collarbone, brushing the skin with her forked tongue. The woman laughed about it, calling it a kiss. But more and more often, she woke up at night with the heavy weight pressing down on her chest.

One evening, she startled awake to hear the snake’s sudden hiss. That was the moment she realized it was time to see a veterinarian. What she learned there finally opened her eyes to the danger of keeping a wild animal at home. 😨😱

    The Truth at the Clinic

The veterinarian calmly weighed the python, pressed along its long body, and listened as the young woman described the nightly “hugs” and the refusal to eat.

“You see,” he explained gently, “this isn’t affection. With large pythons, fasting and stretching out alongside their owner are behaviors before attempting to take on a big prey. She is measuring whether the size is right. The coiling is practice for constriction. You have a fully grown, strong female here. She’s powerful enough to cut off your breathing. It doesn’t happen often, but cases like this do exist. My advice is clear: isolate her, adjust her diet, and better yet—surrender her to a specialized facility. Today.”

The words froze her in place.

    The Last Night Together

That evening, the woman sat at the edge of her bed, watching as Safran slowly glided across the sheets. At one moment, the snake arranged herself exactly as in a photograph she once had—coiled in a ring around a sleeping woman. But this time, the woman wasn’t asleep.

With great care, she lifted Safran, placed her gently back into the terrarium, snapped the lock shut, and lowered herself to the floor beside it.

    Saying Goodbye

The very next morning, she called the city reptile center. That same day, Safran was taken away in a large crate, into the hands of experienced handlers who would provide her with proper food and safe conditions.
